This series is designed for rugged and durable use, either in the field or where electrical outlets are lacking. These microscopes meet the standard and requirements up to Junior High level. They feature NiMH batteries that will last up to 50-70 hours on a single charge. A full recharge takes approximately eight hours and the battery will last up to 500 uses. One of the unique features of this microscope is the moveable stage that is ideal for smaller hands to adjust. The monocular head is inclined 45 degrees and rotates a full 360 degrees. In each wide field 10x eyepiece is a pointer. The nosepiece has a triple place setting with positive click stop. Focusing is achieved via rack and pinion with slip clutch to prevent accidental damage. The objectives are all color coded and parfocal, 4x 10x, and 40x. There are two models to choose from, one with coarse adjustment only, the other with separate coarse & fine adjustment. The construction is all cast metal,with inclination joint for adjustable viewing. Height of the microscope is 11 ¾". This is a tri-power cordless turret stereo microscope. It is portable and ideal to take in the field or use where there are no electrical outlets. The viewing head is inclined 45 degrees, will rotate 180 degrees and is post mounted to accommodate large specimens. Wide field 10x eyepieces are standard with dioptic adjustment on one ocular tube. This entry level microscope includes a digital eyepiece (640 x 480 )that connects to your computer's USB port. Included with the microscope is user friendly "ULead Photo Explorer" Software on a CD ROM that allows for image capture, edit and other features that can be viewed on your computer. Also included is a 30mm eyepiece adapter for use on a stereo microscope. The microscope specifications include a 10x eyepiece w/pointer (in addition to the digital eyepiece), three objectives 4x, 10x, and 40x, stage clips w/disc diaphgram and built in 15w illumination with an on/off switch. Live Viewing, Image Capturing and Movies On Your Computer

The Steindorff digital microscopy cameras are low lux .028 and ideal for most any application including brightfield, darkfield, phase contrast, DIC and fluorescence. They allow for live video viewing on your computer or laptop at up to 30 frames per second via a USB 2.0 connection. The cameras are Direct Show and TWAIN compliant compatible. Two models are available, 3.0 Mega Pixel and a 1.3 Mega Pixels.  The software package is user friendly and allows for superior camera controls and features.  With the optional VTB (Video Tool Box ) Control the camera can be communicated with other software and can be custom programed to the users specifications.

CFW Series Windows & MAC Compatible w/FIREWIRE

The Steindorff CFW-1300 Series is an 8-bit FIREWIRE digital camera designed for a variety of microscopic imaging applications. There are two models available, one in color the other momochrome. Each camera features 1.4 Mpixels (1360 x 1024 resolution) that are well suited for bright-field, dark field, and fluorescence imaging situations. Technology is based on a Sony ICX250 CCD ½ " sensor with a frame rate of 7.5 frames per second and 30 fps in preview mode. Operation of this camera is simple, just plug into the FIREWIRE port on your computer and install the software. All the necessary cabling and software is included for both Windows and Mac, OS X platforms. Included with the camera is software that provides full capability for acquiring and saving images in TIFF AND BMP formats. Also included are TWAIN modules for third party software that allow viewing of live video and capture of images utilizing third party such as Adobe Photoshop.
